ABOUT SPORT-TESTS (SWITZERLAND)

BENCHMARK ON ICE TESTING

The world's top NHL draft players from 2013-2015, such as MacKinnon, Ekblad, and Connor McDavid, have taken the standardized On-Ice Test and formed the basis of our On-Ice Testing Benchmark.More than 4,000 players were tested in Europe and Russia under the Sport-Tests method, and more than 60,000 test data were evaluated, including from 27 European drafted NHL players. We know what test results it takes to become a top hockey player. Our methodology shows the player how talented he is and where his strengths and weaknesses lie to set new goals. "If you don't know where you stand, you can't set yourself a goal."

"BENCHMARK" ON-ICE TESTING - «THE BEST PLAYERS IN
THE TEST ARE ALSO THE BEST PLAYERS IN THE GAME! »

Our standardized on-ice test has been carried out periodically since 2010 in the Canadian Hockey League (CHL) and the OHL, WHL, and QMJHL. Various NHL organizations now use the same on-ice test in their development camps due to transparency.

The big breakthrough and acceptance for this standardized on-ice test came in 2013 when this performance test was first introduced at the CHL/NHL Top 40 Prospects Combine. Annually in January, the CHL's top players play the Top-40 Prospects Game and are tested on ice the day before the game. Test data is provided to scouts and all NHL organizations. All these talented players are drafted into the NHL in June. As of 2013, 42% of all players tested were first-round drafts, and 39% of players tested then played in the NHL within a year. Top picks like Nathan MacKinnon (2013), Aaron Ekblad (2014), Connor McDavid (2015), and Nico Hischier (2017) and other Swiss NHL cracks like Timo Meier, Philipp Kurashev, and many more have been tested by our standardized testing method.

Since 2015, Sport-Tests (Switzerland) has been offering these tests throughout Europe, carried out by SISM Hockey. The on-ice test has gained a foothold in Europe and as far away as Central Asia.So far, more than 4,000 players aged 8 to 40 have been tested on ice. Junior teams from renowned Swiss ice hockey clubs such as HC Davos, Fribourg-Gottéron, and EHC Kloten have already been tested, as has the NL team from Rapperswil-Jona Lakers and the SL clubs SC Langenthal, EHC Visp, and HC Thurgau. In addition, try-out tests were carried out for the EHC Visp and the EVZ Academy.
