Up-to-date – latest places for skating camps Arosa

We still have a few free places for the Power Skating Camps 2023 in Arosa

We are holding the BESA Power Skating Camp for the 13th time this year. The SIHF-certified camp has developed into the largest skating camp in Europe.

The camp is led by Besa Tsintsadze, assisted by Herbert Schädler. Besa is a two-time Stanley Cup winner with the Pittsburgh Penguins and Boston Bruins where he served as a skating coach. He was also a skating coach at HC Davos from 2013 to 2019, with championship titles and Spengler Cup victories. Besa also works as a personal trainer for NHL superstars like Evgeni Malkin, Sidney Crosby etc.

Herbi Schänder has been the regional manager for Eastern Switzerland for U15 talent development at the SIHF for years and personal trainer for Swiss NHL players and is also the S&C coach in Arosa, so that the players do the warm-up and cool-down correctly under professional guidance.

In the past hockey season 2022/2023, more than 50 players were already active in the National League or Swiss League, some of whom were in our camps several times. The performance of Simon Knak, who has already played a leading role at HC Davos and has already made his debut in the national team with a goal, deserves special mention. Other well-known players include Chris and Phil Baltisberger and Luca Fazzini, just to name a few. In the coming season, young players will continue to be integrated into the NL teams, such as Brian Zanetti (SCL Tigers) and Lorenzo Canonica (HC Lugano), some of whom have been to the BESA Camp several times and have played in Canada in recent years.

It’s never too early to start a solid skate education, and BESA camp welcomes players as young as 10 years old. After only four days of camp there is clear progress and players keep coming back to camp to keep improving. Players from the age of 13 already have an idea about their hockey career, so the level of the participating players is already considerable. Players aged 15-16 who may have already played in a selection can also register for the Going Pro Camp.

The CHL/NHL On-Ice Test has also been held in every camp since 2014. The test shows the player where his strengths and weaknesses lie and how talented he is. Our test analysis, which is unique in the world, also gives the player targets to work towards in order to achieve their dreams. The system is proven thanks to more than 4,000 analyzed players, including some players who were drafted in the first round of the NHL or players with excellent test results who made it into professional hockey.

The camps are very demanding and intense. Highly motivated and physically well-prepared players benefit the most from these camps. Then you know what you have learned!
